Boise at Home maintains a referral list of local service providers, many of whom have agreed to offer our members reduced rates.
Caring volunteers help members with simple handyman and housekeeping tasks, occasional transportation, and other assistance to make life easier.
Social & Educational Events
Boise at Home organizes its own activities, as well as promoting local events, programs and classes relevant to members.
Members are encouraged to share their time and talents with other members in meaningful, comfortable ways. Their family, friends and neighbors may volunteer, too.
Boise at Home takes pride in our transportation program, which is truly neighbors helping neighbors. Volunteers pick up and drive seniors to and from appointments, events or activities anywhere within a 10- to 15- mile radius of downtown Boise.
Whether it's figuring out how to use a cell phone, installing and learning a new software application, or getting new computer hardware working, Boise at Home is here to help.
No matter what their age or where they live, Boise at Home members benefit from regular exercise programs, healthy menu advice, and engaging with friends in social activities that keep them mentally alert and involved with their community.
For peace of mind, there's nothing like knowing someone cares and contacts you regularly by phone, just to say hello and see what's happening. The Boise at Home "safety net" supports members if an emergency arises.
